. The Model 3208A Fiber Optic Meter is a rugged, versatile, easy to use, high precision meter, that is state of the art in design and performance, and low in cost. This Fiber Optic Meter has been designed for todays, and tomorrow’s application. Calibrated at 850nm, 980nm, 1300nm, 1310nm, 1490nm, and 1550nm, the Model 3208A is measurement-ready in the traditional LAN, Telecom and CATV wavelength windows, as well as the newer 1490nm out-of-band requirements. The Model 3208A comes standard with a FC/universal detector port that accepts FC, ST, SC, and E2000 connectors. Additional features include a large easy to read display with selectable backlight, extended battery life (240 hours), low battery detection, Auto shutoff / power save mode, damp, dust and waterproof design, and a user calibration mode. The Model 3208A Fiber Optic Meter has over 70dB of measurement range, with excellent linearity and accuracy characteristics across its measurement range. A rubber holster offers protection, while a padded softcase with pockets, belt loop, and carry strap, adds additional protection and conveinence. The Model 3208A Fiber Optic Meter is the perfect tool, for out in the field, in a manufacturing setting, or performing precision measurements in a Lab.

Standard features include a 4 digit, .01dB resolution display readout, data storage of 240 measurements records, which can be uploaded to a PC for data archiving and reporting, modulated frequency detection, and a rechargable battery power system. Other characteristics include low battery detection, Auto shutoff / power save mode, 76dB of measurement range, .15 dB accuracy, 6 factory calibrated wavelengths, a versatile universal detector port that accepts FC, ST, or SC adapter caps.
